## What HarnessHealth is

HarnessHealth is not a health app. It is infrastructure — the governance layer that sits between AI-generated clinical outputs and the patients, payers, and regulators who depend on them being accurate and legally defensible.

The core insight: AI dramatically reduces the cost of generating clinical content (care plans, letters of medical necessity, billing documentation, diagnostic suggestions). But reduced cost means more content, not less oversight. The Jevons Paradox applied to healthcare AI: cheaper generation → more generation → more need for governance, not less. HarnessHealth is that governance.

## The Hard Intercept (Patent pending)

Clinical AI outputs exist in one of two states: DRAFT or ATTESTED. The Hard Intercept architecture ensures there is no code path that transmits a DRAFT to a patient, payer, or EHR. Only ATTESTED outputs exit. Attestation requires a licensed physician to review, and the review is cryptographically bound (NPI + document hash + timestamp) in an append-only Merkle tree.

Authority Consumption Tracking (Patent 1, Claim 4) monitors physician review velocity to prevent rubber-stamp compliance — the most common failure mode in AI-assisted clinical documentation. Zero prior art globally.
